We are not an Apple Authorized Service Provider, and we will never say we are. We are an independent Mac repair shop. Here is why that usually works in your favor, and the one time it does not.

Authorized vs Independent: the real difference

Apple Authorized providers are built for in warranty, by the book service. If your Mac is covered, they replace the part, often the entire logic board or display, and send you on your way. That is a good fit while you are under warranty or AppleCare.

Independent shops like us live in everything after that. The moment you are out of warranty, or you have been told your Mac is not worth fixing, that is where we do our best work.

Is The Mac Space an Apple Authorized Service Provider?
No, and we will never claim to be. We are an independent Mac repair shop, not affiliated with, authorized by, or endorsed by Apple. For in warranty service an Apple Store or an Apple Authorized Service Provider is the right call. For out of warranty, board level, and data recovery work, that is exactly what we specialize in.
Why choose an independent shop over an authorized provider?
Once your Mac is out of warranty, independent shops can do things authorized service usually will not: fix the actual failed chip instead of swapping a whole board, recover your data after liquid damage, and repair older Macs Apple no longer supports. You usually keep your data, keep your machine, and pay a fraction of replacement.
When is authorized the better choice?
If your Mac is still under Apple warranty or covered by AppleCare, in warranty service is usually the right move, and we will tell you so. We focus on out of warranty Macs.
Can you repair what Apple says is not fixable?
Often yes. We do board level repair, liquid damage treatment, and data recovery. When Apple quotes a full board replacement or says buy a new one, we diagnose the real fault and fix the component, usually far cheaper, and we save your data.
